Same as followers, these sites give you fake likes for either money or a survey (which can be a scam.) For example, this model faked about having a heterochromia, until her father exposed her by posted her childhood picture. You’ll see celebrities having a beef with each other every few days. Making some comments here and there.. but, like any other thing, they’re usually just stunts. There are people on YouTube that make fake pranks, social experiments, or generally fake videos and pretend that they’re real to get extra exposure. People also faked their own suicide to get more following. Imagine getting that low. People on Reddit are thirsty for upvotes which makes them desperate. What do they do? Post fake shit. Post rumors, fake credit, faking identity, even theft — just for upvotes, numbers. Not just those sites, here on Quora as well. People are looking for ways to get more followings and upvotes. Fake credentials is common. Not to mention fake ‘experts’ who give advice. In all honesty, every social media website/app have fakeness in it. I’ll rate it 7/10. Behind every authentic news you hear, there are million others that are blatant lies.
