A lesser movie franchise would probably be happy to end after 21 excellent movies, and billions of dollars. But Marvel Entertainment knows very well it has several years yet of great movies to keep it going. Kevin Feige has been fairly hush about future movies in Phase 4 (which starts with Spider-Man: Far From Home), but we’ve picked up on a few movies. For one, both Doctor Strange and Black Panther will be getting sequels. Both movies were successful (especially Black Panther) and this is no surprise. We can also expect an Eternals movie. This is a much more interesting choice, considering the Eternals in the comics are fairly obscure, but it could launch countless new storylines for the MCU to explore. Also, we will definitely be getting a Shang Chi movie, as it even has a director now for it. Shang is an extremely obscure Marvel character, but it would give the MCU an opportunity for an Asian superhero movie, which they are no doubt hoping would be at least a similar success to Black Panther. Finally, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is well on its way with James Gunn reinstated! I think we all breathed a sigh of relief when we found out he would be returning as director.
